Ayodhya: Land Dispute Leads to Murder of Retired Amin, Police Crack Case in 72 Hours

Ayodhya: The Ayodhya police have cracked the sensational murder case of retired Amin (revenue official) Karmaraj Yadav within 72 hours, revealing that a long-standing land dispute was at the heart of the crime. The incident, which occurred on May 25 in Bara village under the Tarun police station limits, sent shockwaves through the community. Karmaraj Yadav was brutally killed while he was sleeping near his tube well, and the use of a sharp-edged weapon indicated the premeditated nature of the crime.

According to the police, the murder was orchestrated by the victim’s distant relative, Krishnavati, in retaliation for a dispute over 12 bighas of agricultural land. After the death of her father-in-law, Krishnavati had demanded a share of the land that had allegedly been transferred by her father-in-law to Karmaraj Yadav. When her demand was refused, she, along with her son Arvind Yadav, allegedly conspired to eliminate Karmaraj. The plan was executed with the help of Arvind’s friends, Alok Tiwari and Adarsh Singh.

In the FIR lodged by the deceased’s son Dinesh Yadav, Krishnavati, Arvind Yadav, Alok Tiwari, and Adarsh Singh were named as prime suspects. Acting swiftly, Ayodhya police arrested Krishnavati and Alok Tiwari, while Arvind Yadav and Adarsh Singh have been detained and are being questioned in custody. Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Gaurav Grover confirmed the arrests and said that the investigation had revealed a carefully crafted plan aimed at removing Karmaraj from the picture to claim ownership of the disputed land.

The murder weapon has also been recovered from the possession of the accused, further strengthening the case. Police officials have stated that all individuals involved in the crime will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The case has sparked intense public reaction in the region, with many expressing shock over the familial nature of the crime and the lengths to which the accused went over a land dispute.

Police officials praised the coordination and efficiency of the investigative team in solving the case so quickly. Dr. Grover also assured the public that justice would be delivered promptly and that such violent acts, particularly those arising from property disputes, would not be tolerated in any part of the district. The case continues to unfold, with further revelations expected as the investigation deepens and charges are formally framed against the accused.
